History
Green Living Enterprises is a member of the Key Publishers group of companies, which has been involved since 1962 in such titles as Toronto Life, Canadian Business, Canadian Geographic and Canadian Art, as well as websites, TV shows and book publishing.
Key Publishers' began actively participating in the environmental sector with the launch of EnviroGuide in 1999. The success and leadership of this guide became the foundation of Green Living Enterprises, which was established as its own entity in 2005. In 2003, Key Publishers also launched Investeco Capital Corporation, Canada’s first environmental investment company.
Green Living Enterprises (GLE) is formally established as an eco-marketing agency.
EnviroGuide becomes Green Living magazine.
the Green Toronto Awards are launched.
2006
GLE launches Eco Options magazine for The Home Depot, Canada's largest circulation magazine.
2007
the Green Living Show debuts, featuring Al Gore on the Main Stage to become Canada's most successful and largest consumer environmental show.
GLE initiates the Green Screen process to evaluate potential partner companies for environmental performance. All participants of the Green Living Show are screened for environmental legitimacy.
2009
Business Forum launches at the Green Living Show.
New Earth Run added to the Green Living Show.
Print version of the Green Living Guide is published, showcasing more than 375 green retailers and service providers in Toronto.
GLE's client list grows to include major national retailers, technology and CPG manufacturers, a top-tier financial services company, various levels of government, and others.
