For the past 5 years, the City of Toronto has been partnered with Green Living Enterprises in the delivery
of the annual Green Toronto Awards. Through this partnership, the Awards have flourished and grown to become one of the City’s signature events.
This success is due, in no small part, to the dedication and creativity that Green Living brings to everything
they do. Green Living sets the bar very high — they are consistently professional, innovative and committed
to excellence and, best of all, a ton of fun to work with!

The Green Living Enterprises team has become a valued and trusted partner to WWF in our on-going
efforts to reach and engage Canadian consumers, our donors and key influencers in business, government
and media. When selecting partners, it is critical for WWF to work with companies who are authentically
green and have a deep understanding of the environment sector. Green Living Enterprises is a clear winner
in this regard. Laurie Simmonds and her team are informed, connected strategic thinkers who understand
both the green sector and the larger consumer and media environment within which our messages and
programs exist. Green Living Enterprises has been instrumental to the success of such WWF programs as
Art of Nature, our eBay charity auction and others, and we look forward to an on-going relationship with
the company.

The Green Living Enterprises team has been integral to the launch and success of Eco Options magazine,
a key element in The Home Depot’s positioning as Canada’s leading resource for environmentally responsible
home maintenance and renovation. GLE provides turn-key design and editorial that is aligned with
The Home Depot’s market positioning and key messaging, presenting our Eco Options product line in an
editorial environment that is compelling and appealing to consumers.
We rely on GLE for advice and feedback
on current consumer trends and interests in the green sector and trust their market insights. GLE’s
leadership in green print production has allowed us to position Eco Options magazine as a market leader in
environmentally-responsible printing and publishing practices, and GLE has been and continues to be
a valued partner and resource in our efforts in this area.

Laurie Simmonds and her team at Green Living have been instrumental in helping Loblaw Companies
ingratiate ourselves into the Green Living Show. We have a great story to tell with President’s Choice®
Green™ products and celebrating our 20th anniversary of PC® Green™ in 2009. Our inclusion in the Green
Living Show has helped us to get both editorial and advertising coverage from consumer and business media.
Working with the Green Living team has been a positive experience. They’re always gracious and professional
and have taken the time to work with us to make sure the show is the best it can be for our company and that
we’re able to fully benefit from our sponsorship. I have to say, as the Loblaw project manager for the Green
Living Show; this personal attention has been invaluable. Additionally, our products have been showcased
online at greenlivingonline.com and in Green Living magazine which has given us an even broader outreach.
Green Living was a strong supporter of our President’s Choice® Green™ reusable shopping bag when
introduced for the first time in 2007 and over the last 2 years they have distributed on our behalf nearly
60,000 bags at various shows and events. Loblaw Companies is also a proud sponsor of the Green Toronto
Awards. Green Living is an outstanding organization and we look forward to working together again in 2009!

Working with the Green Living team was a pleasure. While working at Tridel, we launched the Tridel Ecosuite
in May, 2007. We chose to work with Green Living group because of their expertise in green marketing
initiatives as well as customized publishing. As part of the project, we developed a 24 page mini-magazine
which would be distributed to over 125,000 people across Toronto. The goal was to create a high-end decor
feel to engage the consumer, while pleasantly surprising and educating them about sustainable living. The
art director clearly understood this approach and designed an elegant but approachable look and feel. As
well, the writers were able to grasp the ‘editorial’ tone of a home magazine while ensuring the eco-facts and
important condo facts were highlighted. I was also very pleased with the project management team at Green
Living. They were focused and calm while handling over 20 different sponsors for customized ad layouts.
The Green Living team also understood our need to be efficient with an integrated marketing approach. Right
from the beginning we discussed all marketing elements including in-suite signage, which used the same
creative look and similar copy to the magazine. In addition, with their expertise in green marketing, we were
highlighted in green living online, Green Living magazine and participated in the Green Living Show.
The quality of the publication, photography, and signage was excellent — well beyond my expectation. We still
receive positive feedback about the mini magazine and the eco-suite in general. I would highly recommend
working with the Green Living team as I found them to be highly creative, very professional, and the strongest
group focused on green marketing initiatives.
